Happy Monday ya'll!! I am still in Miami and I can honestly say I am having the time of my life! Since I am in the spirit of relaxing and trying new things, I wanted to post this Coffee Talk in the spirit of living your life to the fullest! I hope you enjoy!
"sometimes, magic is just someone spending more time on something than anyone else might reasonably expect."
Practice makes perfect; it's a phrase that has been repeated to us all yearly since grade school. And as monotonous as this mantra may sound, it's very true; it takes practice to develop a new skill. This learning may not be pretty or easy, but I've always believed that the struggle is worth what you receive in the end.
So when I stumbled upon this movement called Give It 100, I instantly fell in love with it's message. The website encourages people to practice a skill everyday for 100 days and record their progess in 10 second videos that they post to the site.
I relate so much to this "visual diary of a person's progress" because sometimes it's so easy for us to throw our hands in the air and say, "I can't do this" or "it's too hard." But the beautiful things about this movement is that they completely respect that struggle. Everyone starts somewhere, and Give It 100 gives ordinary people like you and me the opportunity to document the in between.
The hope is that one day you'll look back and see how far you've come and how much you've grown and feel empowered by your ability to push beyond what's comfortable.
Have you heard of Give It 100? What would you like to learn in 100 days? Do you think that you could fully commit?
