Last night my parents came to town and treated my brother and I to a much needed FREE dinner. Our restaurant of choice, Bonefish Grill. And it was Wednesday so you know what that means....$6 Bang Bang Shrimp!!! *dances in seat*
Needless to say the place was packed, but once we were seated it took us all of 5 minutes to make a decision on what we wanted to order. We ordered two Bang Bang Shrimp appetizers and I had the small salmon with asparagus and the Bonefish side salad. I. Was. In. Heaven.
For those of you who have never been to Bonefish Grill, Bang Bang Shrimp is crispy, almost fried shrimp tossed in a spicy sauce and topped with scallions. I don't know what they put in this stuff but I could eat it every single day!
The Bonefish house salad is a mix of green leaves, black olives, poppy seeds, tomatoes, hearts of palm in a vinaigrette dressing. I topped it all off with some freshly ground black pepper.
For my entree, I had the small Salmon with a side of asparagus. Bonefish Grill offers 4 different "topping" options for all of their entrees and I chose the mango salsa.
My brother ordered the Tilapia with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish was topped with capers and a creamy sauce providing an unexpected rush of flavor! He didn't share that much of it with me ;] but this will definitely be my dish of choice the next time I visit this eatery.
Below is my mother's dish; she had the Salmon Burger. I didn't get the chance to snap a picture of my fathers dish but he had the Trout.
I was offered a dessert of creme brûlée, and anyone who knows me knows that I live and breathe for it, but I resisted; spring break is just 9 days away! Even without it though dinner was amazing and it was great seeing my parents!
