Hello ladies! As promised the new MGC branding comes with it several new features that I am tickled pink to share with ya'll! This one in particular happens to also be the pilot for a new series that we're kicking off as well called Office Envy.
As the title suggests, this series will give my readers an inside peak at offices worth drooling over! I don't know about ya'll, but I am a very visual person and I believe that creating a beautiful and inviting atmosphere makes for better work days. My hope, is that these spaces will inspire and motivate you to chase those (seemingly) crazy dreams and one day build your own dream office. With that in mind, lets get to it!
The first office space that I want to share with ya'll is the heart and soul of Society Social, a furniture and home decor mecca. Based off the idea that life is a party and therefore our homes should always be prepared to celebrate, founder Roxy Te and her team create the yummiest (yes ya'll, I'm comparing furniture to food) home decor around. And after checking out this gallery, you'll understand why I am dying to get my hands on everything this brand has to offer. You'll find my brief office interview with Roxy below.
Where did your initial office inspiration derive from?
For starters, I have a great space to work with-loads of natural light, dramatic dark walls, sweeping views of the city- so I wasn't short on inspiration. I tried to create a space that is a balance of function and frivolity.
What was on your checklist when designing this room? What were your must-haves, in terms of furniture and accessories?
Well a bar cart, of course! Long days at the studio that stretch into evenings aren't complete without a little desk side cocktail action.
Do you feel that your office space encourages or aids in your business inspiration, if so in what ways?
Definitely. I believe that a well thought out and styled workspace lends itself to productivity.
Tell us about your favorite thing in/about your office?
I love sharing my studio with a fellow creative and friend, Inslee. Being a small business owner can get lonely sometimes so having someone to bounce ideas off of or to simply run to lunch with has been wonderful.
I don't know about ya'll but Roxy and her amazing office space left me feeling completely inspired! I'm especially fond of the bar cart festiveness!! Be sure to check out Society Social and all their home/office goodies. Roxy also owns a personal blog called Cup of Te!
