Happy Monday everyone! I hope ya'll had a fabulous weekend.

I had a very low key three days down in Alabama for my great aunts funeral. And even though it was hard and I cried like a baby from start to finish, I'm so glad that I got the chance to see my family. I hate that it took a funeral to bring all of us together like that, but I'd forgotten how much fun we are together. Laughing, eating (omg did I eat ya'll it was ridiculous), drinking, sharing stories; I wouldn't trade those new memories for anything.

Visiting also got me thinking a lot about my life. Our time here is so unbelievably short, so I want to make sure that not only am I creating the best possible life for myself, but that I give something back to this world. I think that's why I loved my aunt Aretha so much. She was a teacher and truly loved all of her kids. Family meant everything to her and the memories that I have with her are something that I will honestly carry with me forever. Rea was one of those people that was so sweet and sassy and she could literally make you laugh until you cried. She loved her fashion too so I know she probably is up in heaven getting a kick out of this blog lol

So in honor of her, I want to do my best to live my life to the max. I know that sounds like such an ambitious statement, but for me that just means living with a positive and proactive attitude. I read a quote this week about this that really stuck with me. It went like this:

"Your thoughts become your reality. You can't think negative thoughts and create a positive life"

So this weekend it has really been on my heart to do just that. For me that means continuing to blog, working out on a regular basis and reconnecting with some family members. I encourage you to think about what you what your reality/your future to be. If your current thoughts and actions aren't contributing to that dream, then make some changes. They don't have to be big or drastic, as long as you are moving in the right direction everything else will fall into place girlfriend.

Now, let's talk about this great dress! I love that its a high low maxi dress. This forest green color has been EVERYWHERE this season and since I'm obsessed with it, I was more than happy to hop right on board and join in on the party. I did have to order up a size because the dress has no stretch to it and my hips don't lie. But other than that I love it and I'll be wearing it every chance I get.

Have a great day!
