Happy National Margarita Day + The Best Places To Get A Margarita In Louisville

Hi friends!! Happy National Margarita Day!!

If you know me IRL (in real life) you know that I LIVE for a good margarita haha. So naturally this is a holiday that I am ready and willing to celebrate. So today I wanted to share my favorite places in Louisville to grab a margarita. Cheers!

Best Places For A Margarita In Louisville

1. Guaca-Mole: The swirl margarita's are on point and really so is everything on their food and beverage menu. Go hungry my friends. Trust me you'll need someone to carry you outta there once its all said and done haha. Monday and Tuesday's happy hour is 4-close and Wednesday through Friday is 4-6pm.

2. Havana Rumba: Girlfriend the drinks here are strong. Prep yo self. Again, the food here is amazing  so leave room for queso and their authentic Cuban food. Happy Hour on Monday and Tuesday from 5pm-close and Wednesday and Thursday from 5-7pm.

3. Senior Iguanas: I've only ever had drinks here. $2.99 lime house margaritas every Sunday through Thursday. Make it grande for $4.99. Hand made Margarita of the week $4.99.

4. Texas Roadhouse: I know you're probably looking at me like I'm nuts but y'all, for price and quality Texas Roadhouse has some pretty bomb margaritas. Even their house marg if you don't want to shell out cash on anything extra. The hurricane margarita is my favorite.

5. Chuy's: Happy hour is from 4-7pm Monday through Friday. I've had their blackberry margarita several times and it's always delicious!!

Be sure to let me know your favorite places to celebrate National Margarita Day in the comments below. Have a great hump day!!

My 5 Workout Favorites

1. High Waisted Leggings are a must have for me these days. Mostly because they hide my tummy situation haha, they're just amazing for keeping everything sucked in. Plus I don't have to worry about them falling down in the back when I squat and bend over. I've linked my favorites here, here and here!

2. Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD. Whenever I need a nice little butt kicking in a short amount of time I pop in this DVD. I've had it for years and it still leaves me sore haha. There are 3 different levels and each workout is just 20 minutes long. All you need to complete them are hand weights and a mat. But do not think this is an "easy way out" workout option haha because it is not. But the burn is the bomb.

3. Adidas X_PLR Shoes. I seriously haven't purchased a non Nike pair of tennis shoes in probably 8 years haha #Loyalty. But these little babies caught my eye over the weekend and I figured it was time for a change. Why I thought all white shoes would be a good idea is yet to be seen haha but they're so so cute and I can't wait to wear them.

4. Instagram Motivation. This one might sound a little weird, but one of my favorite things about the fitness industry are the influencers that I follow on Instagram. Everyday their workout clips, recipes and words of wisdom give me so much motivation haha. Some of my favorites are @getbodiedbyj, @larapro4, @flawlessfitness_, @katyhearnfit, and @raising.thebarrfitnesshttps://www.instagram.com/raising.thebarrfitness/ (ran by my beautiful friend Julie and her hubby).

5. The Knockout Sports Bra. This is the best sports bra ever. I'm serious ya'll. If you need a little extra support this guy is 100% the way to go. I love it because it basically has a built in bra that clamps in the center and then a zipper that hides the first layer. This bra is run proof, jump proof, life proof. Plus they come in so many fun colors! Right now Victoria's Secret is having a sale so if you buy any sports bra you get a pair of sport leggings for just $30 no holla!! These pants are normally $70 ya'll. This ain't no game haha.

Anyways I hope ya'll enjoyed my list of 5 workout favorites. Make sure you drop me a line and let me know what your workout favorites are! Happy Tuesday.

High Neck Lace Bodysuit + Girlchat

So I'm not usually a bodysuit kinda girl. But they're a trend I keep seeing everywhere so I finally decided to slip myself into one and ya'll, pleasantly surprised. Like, borderline obsessed haha.

Bodysuit: Victoria's Secret Pink  | High Waisted Jeans: Express  | Heels: Charlotte Russe

This bodysuit is actually from Victoria's Secret and I love it because the lace, see through middle has just enough....sex appeal without going overboard. Plus its so comfy and looks great on so many different body types! So don't be afraid to try it!

I decided to take this baby out on the town Saturday night so I put on my favorite high waisted jeans and these new lace up sandals! The were just $20 ya'll! Talk about a major steal! In fact, all the shoes at Charlotte Russe are $20 and today is the last day to take advantage of that amazing deal. So add in "stop by Charlotte Russe" into whatever plans you have for the day. Thank me later okay.

Oh! Let's roll back to the weekend for one second, its time for some girlchat. Have you ever gone out and instantly regretted it haha. Not because you're not with the right people or in the wrong place, but because you just weren't feeling it. That was me on Saturday. I really tried ya'll but I was just not feeling it so after a few hours of faking it, Ieventually I took my little self home. At least I looked good right haha.

Anyways I hope you guys have an amazing Monday! See you tomorrow beauties.

Getting Back On The Bike: Cycle Bar Class Review

Hi friends, happy Monday! I hope you guys had a great weekend! I did haha I went out for the first time in a long time so it was great to see all my friends and let my  hair down a little.

Anyways today I wanted to share my review of a cycling class that I took at Cycle Bar Louisville. So far I've been to 2 classes so I'm finally feeling like I've got the hang of how things work! Lets get right into it!

I took my first cycling class back when I was in college. I left sore, drenched in sweat, but I LOVED it. For me, cycling became that extra push when I needed to drop those last 5lbs and I continued taking classes up until I graduated in 2014 but I haven't been back sense. That's why I jumped at the chance to try out a few classes at Cycle Bar via their groupon ad.

The studio itself is beautiful. Really clean and bright in terms of decor. When you first walk in theres a check encounter with a bunch of iPads that you use to sign into your class. Theres also tons of Cycle Bar merchandise and 2 or 3 ladies around if you have any questions or need some help. After you sign in they have riding shoes for you in cubbies, which was a first for me personally, so make sure you get the right size!

Walking back towards the studio theres a counter with snacks (usually a banana and some sort of granola bar) and water, a restroom/shower area, lockers and even a pampering station as I call it complete with blowdryers and other goodies to fix your hair.

So once I put on my shoes, locked my goodies away and fill up my water bottle I went into the studio. Everyone is assigned to a specific bike number, so I found that and then asked for some help setting up my bike since it had been so long. I'm glad I did too because this was the first class I'd ever been to where your shoes actually hook to the petals.

As class was beginning I instantly loved how motivating and encouraging the instructor Erika was! I loved that she walked us through everything and really made sure everyone was having a great time. Plus her music choices were amazing and the class was fun but definitely not a cake walk haha. My body was screaming.

They also incorporated technology, which is also really nice. On the front of each bike is device that you turn on and it tracks your speed, RPMs, intensity and even calories. At the end of each class your results are emailed to you so you can keep track of how you're doing.

I love the class because I leave dripping in sweat and I know that the instructor pushed me more than I would push myself during normal cardio. Like I said they do have a groupon offering 4 classes for $39. After those 4 classes they do have a pricing structure thats a wee bit too much for this girl at the moment but we'll see. I just loved being able to try something new! I still have 2 more classes so I'll be sure to keep ya'll posted on those as well, maybe I'll even try a new instructor :]

Well thats all I've got for ya'll. Have a great day.

Never Too Late

I was going to share a beauty post today but decided to switch things up a little and share something that has been on my heart. Yesterday was a yucky, emotional day but so much clarity came from it so I wanted to open up to ya'll a little bit.
For those of you that don't know, I made the tough decision to leave a job that I was unhappy with last May and moved back home to live with my parents. I hit the ground running working in retail but hit a few bumps in the road that slowed my pace to get back into the world of PR and Marketing. Needless to say I didn't see these bumps coming and even though I know that I'm not just sitting around doing nothing, more times than not I feel....an overwhelming spirit of failure. Sometimes that spirit lasts just a few seconds and I can easily shake it off. Other times it lasts for weeks and I mask it under sassiness and complaints. Its exhausting to be honest but you know how it is once you go to "that place". The thoughts just spin and spin, mine go a little something like this:
"You're waisting so much time. You should be further along by now. You're friends have their career jobs and places of their own and you live with your parents. You're almost 25 and NONE of your stuff is together. Its going to take forever to get out of debt. What if you're miserable at your next job just like you were at the one before...." Blah blah blah.
Is that not completely out of hand? Not to mention the fact that I'm so hard on myself. I guess.....actually I know I am very driven and determined to succeed in everything that I do. I know the life that I want to create for myself but so often I let the little things stress me out and I can't help but feel stuck in this revolving door.
So I decided to reach out to my friend Kristen to talk about it and she helped bring me back down to earth. After our phone conversation though, I found myself driven to this quote by Joel Osteen that I seriously have posted on my mirror in my bedroom because I need to read it every day.
I declare it is not too late to accomplish everything God has placed in my heart. I have not missed my window of opportunity. God has moments of favor in my future. He is preparing me right now because He is about to release a special grace to help me accomplish that dream. This is my time. This is my moment. I receive it today. This is my declaration.

Is that not amazing? God's grace is so perfect that no matter how far I stray from the path that I think I'm suppose to be on, He can still use all of that for my good. And no matter how old I get or where life takes me, it will NEVER be too late for me to be the person He created me to be. Who knows, this might be part of His plan, so that I can learn to trust Him and show myself some grace. Like seriously Morgan sit down and chill out haha.

I do want to note that just because I'm going to try and be nicer to myself doesn't mean the hustle stops. It means that I speak hope and positivity over my life and do my share of the work knowing that God will open doors when I'm ready to walk into them.

Anyways I just wanted to share that with ya'll because I know how it is. As women we put so much pressure on ourselves to perform and keep up and while I believe its healthy to have goals and aspirations, we've gotta show ourselves some major grace okay? :]

Ya'll have a fabulous Wednesday. I'll see you tomorrow.

My Super Bowl Sunday Outfit

To be honest, I only watch football for 2 reasons.

Reason #1: Beer
Reason #2: Buffalo chicken dip

But this year I was actually excited about the Super Bowl because the Falcons were playing. I have ties to the team and the city of Atlanta because my mom was raised there, my parents got married there and I have family and friends that live there. So even though I'm traditionally not invested in football, I was invested in this game.

Needless to say I am not happy that they lost haha, especially since I got so emotionally invested. But at least I got to be cute and comfy in this causal Super Bowl look.

Hoodie: Old Victoria's Secret  (similar in texture) (similar in style) |  Jeans: American Eagle  |
Shoes: Converse  | Bag: Forever 21 (similar)  | Lip: Cruella by Nars

I knew I didn't want to "do the most" with my Super Bowl look because I was just watching at a friends house. So I grabbed this super soft pullover from my wardrobe archives (aka the bottom of my laundry basket), threw on my favorite jeans and called it a day.

I also discovered a new bomb red lip color from Nars. I'm wearing Cruella and I love it because it's literally a thick crayon haha. All you have to do is line your lips and fill in the rest. It's seriously so perfect!

Other than my Super Bowl sadness I had a great weekend! Saturday I went over to a friends house and had snacks and a fun game night! I won twice ya'll and I NEVER win at stuff like that haha.

How did ya'll spend your weekend? Let me know in the comments below. Also, tomorrow I have a super fun giveaway coming your way just in time for Valentines Day! So stay tuned for that. Have a great Monday ya'll!

Whole 30: Super Easy Spaghetti Squash + Meatballs

I love an easy meal, especially when I'm trying to eat healthy. So when I discovered this recipe via Pinterest I was like "oh yes, this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship". First of all you can make it in your crock pot, hello easy clean up. Second, I loved the idea of a super low carb spaghetti and meatballs! Plus I've heard amazing things about cooking squash this way so I was excited to give it a whirl.

Here is the original recipe I pulled from Pinterest. After making this a few times on my own I have changed some things around to fit my personal taste so feel free to do the same. Lots of pouring and less measuring if you catch my drift haha but this will still be a great guide if you're making this for the first time. If all else fails, all you really need to make this recipe is a spaghetti squash, pasta sauce, and meatballs haha.

Let me know if ya'll try it and have a great weekend :]

- 1 medium spaghetti squash
- 1 bag frozen turkey meatballs (low sodium)
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1/2 can low sodium Ragu pasta sauce (to taste)
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 1/2 onion
- 1 Italian seasoning packet
- salt, pepper, basil, red pepper flakes (to taste)

1. Cut spaghetti squash in half and spoon out the seeds (some recipes will have you do this after the squash is cooked but for me its easier before).

2. Place spaghetti squash in the bottom of your crock pot, cut side down

3. In a bowl mix together tomato sauce, tomato paste, Ragu pasta sauce (to taste), red and green pepper, onion and Italian seasoning packet. Really though I would just make your favorite red sauce here, you can't go wrong :]

4. Use salt, pepper, basil and red pepper flakes to taste.

5. Pour in your sauce between your spaghetti squash and add meatballs on top

6. Cook on low for 5-7 hours or on high for 3-4 (also depends on the size of your squash)

7. Using tongs and kitchen gloves, remove spaghetti squash from slow cooker and scoop out the flesh. Let drain for a few minutes in a colander to reduce moisture.

8. Plate and serve!

Affordable Style: One Shirt, Two Ways

I don't think I'll ever be one of those "wear it once" bloggers because I definitely play favorites when it comes to my clothes. Also, lets be honest, my wallet ain't set up that way girlfriend haha. So today I was inspired to share with ya'll this fabulous, classic striped tee that I styled 2 different ways over the weekend.

If ya'll enjoy the outline of this post I might do them more often. I just thought it would be something fun to share and I can't wait to hear which look is your fav!

Outfit 1: Top: Dillards |   Jeans: American Eagle  | Booties: MIA (similar) | Purse: Dooney & Bourke Outfit 2: Top: Dillards |  Jeans: Express  | Boots: Charlotte Russe | Purse: Sold Out (similar)  | Beanie: The North FaceNow let's get into these looks!
Seriously my favorite thing about the both of them is other than the striped shirt (and the green cardigan that I scored on MAJOR sale) every other article of clothing came straight from my closet. Proving once and for all that I do indeed have things to wear even when I swear up and down that I don't haha.

I wore Look #1 while I was wine tasting on Saturday at Old 502. If you missed that blog post I'll link it here. I had so much fun sipping with my friend Olivia plus the Groupon deal we used was amazing! This look was just the ticket too; lose and flowy but still on trend for the season. I wore it with my favorite jeans and these amazing neutral booties I got last fall.

I wore Look #2 out running errands with my momma and it started snowing (that Kentucky weather for ya). I knew I wanted to wear it with this super cozy faux fur vest that I got last year at Dillards because I haven't worn it in a longggg time! I did want to add a pop of color with my bag since the rest of my outfit was neutral so I chose this bold red cross body that was under $15!

Sadly the only time people saw this full outfit was when I talked my mom into pulling up alongside the department store for a mini photo shoot. I know I looked crazy running around with no jacket in the snow, but I had to document my outfit *insert eye roll* haha.

Anyways I hope this post inspires you to create some new looks with the items you already have in your closet. I've always believed that staples can really help shape your wardrobe, which is honestly the reason I bought that shirt in the first place. It's classic and can be worn so many different ways. Make sure you let me know which look is your favorite in the comments below. Have a great day everyone :]

Empties: Products I've Used Up + Repurchased

As self proclaimed beauty junkie, each month I buy lots and lots of products. Often times I use them once and decide they're not for me. Other times I forget I've even purchased them and they sit in a drawer for months on in (c'mon I know I'm not the only one). So when I purchase something, use it all the way and then repurchase it, attention must be paid.

So today I wanted to share a few of my beauty ride or dies with ya'll. I also want to do one of these for makeup but I thought I'd keep them separate for organizational purposes. Let's get started.

I love this product because its so gentle and AMAZING for getting off makeup. Its safe for every skin type. My mom uses it every day and her skin is bascially flawless. I still have acne so I typically only use this to get my makeup off but it always cleans my skin and doesn't leave it feeling dry and tight.

I have seen such a difference in my dark spots since I started using this in December. They aren't completely gone, but they've gotten a lot lighter as a result. I typically use this in the morning because   it's really light weight and doesn't have a super aggressive oder. My tip for using this is to exfoliate before using this. The lady at the Clinique counter told me it helps the product work faster if your pores are already open and that dead skin is gone and she was so right!

Okay this stuff is an obsession. There's something about lavender that always makes me feel like I'm at the spa. The smell of this body was is so potent and instantly relaxes me when I'm taking the shower. There's always a good deal on them and Bath and Body Works so I usually grab a few while I'm in there. They also have different scents too.

This stuff is not a joke. I use this fade cream at night to help with my dark spots too (yes I know I'm a little aggressive haha). The reason I use this one at night is because of the mild smell and the fact that its thicker in consistency so I like to let this one some into my skin, instead of rubbing or patting it in. It's also super affordable ya'll, under $6!

This is hands down my favorite moisturizer for winter. Its THE BOMB. I think this might be my 4th jar of this stuff. I don't know about you but in the colder months the skin on my face gets really dry so I use this religiously. You can get it at Sephora but if you're not ready to shell out $30 for a moisturizer you can easily get a sample. But trust me when I say you'll be back to buy it :]

In the summer months this is my holy grail of moisturizers and trust me when I say they call it thirst relief for a reason! It packs in hydration that seriously plumps up your skin. I love how cool and refreshed my skin feels after using it and I can visibly see that my skin is hydrated. Needless to say I'm addicted and I'm currently working through jar #3!

I hope ya'll enjoyed this post on my beauty empties. What are some of your favorite beauty products? The ones you use up and immediately have to re-buy. I'd love to hear so feel free to drop them in the comments below.

Happy Wednesday guys.
